Imphal, April 21: In a remarkable display of swift response and humanitarian service, the Assam Rifles carried out a critical medical evacuation of a two-year-old girl from the remote village of Grihang in Manipur’s Kamjong district on the morning of April 21. The child, identified as Chuishut, had accidentally fallen into a water tank, prompting an urgent rescue operation.

Acting immediately on a distress call, Assam Rifles personnel along with their medical team rushed to the location. They administered life-saving first aid and managed to stabilize the child’s condition on-site.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation and the need for advanced medical care, the Assam Rifles swiftly coordinated an emergency airlift. A military helicopter was deployed within minutes, transporting the young girl to the Assam Rifles Military Hospital in Imphal.

Despite the challenges of navigating difficult terrain in the region, the operation was conducted with exceptional speed and precision. Upon arrival in Imphal, Chuishut was admitted to the Military Hospital at Mantripukhari, where a team of paediatric specialists took over her care.
