‘Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Asoni’ – Empowering Female Students

Alongside the Jibon Prerana scheme, the Assam government has also rolled out the ‘Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Asoni’ (MMNMA) to support female students and curb child marriage. Under this scheme, financial aid is provided as monthly stipends to girl students at different educational levels:

  • Class 11 & 12: ₹1,000 per month
  • Undergraduate Courses: ₹1,250 per month
  • Postgraduate Courses: ₹2,500 per month

This initiative is expected to benefit nearly one million girl students in its first year, with a budget allocation of ₹300 crore.

A Step Towards Educational Empowerment

These schemes reinforce the Assam government’s commitment to higher education and financial independence for students, ensuring they have the necessary support to pursue their careers without financial constraints.
