Guwahati, 22 February 2025 – In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Assam Police has successfully seized 24,000 Yaba tablets worth ₹7.2 crore in the Cachar district. The operation was carried out by Jirighat Police Station under the jurisdiction of Cachar Police, leading to the arrest of one individual.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the development on X (formerly Twitter), praising the relentless efforts of the police force in dismantling drug networks across the state.
