Guwahati, November 22:In a swift operation, Jalukbari Police Station officers apprehended a man attempting to break into a house in Ananda Nagar, Adabari. The suspect, identified as Raj Khan from Thane, Maharashtra, was caught red-handed during the burglary attempt.  

According to officials, Khan had a criminal history and had previously served time in Dumdum Jail, West Bengal. After being released on bail, he reportedly traveled to Guwahati by train with an accomplice from West Bengal, allegedly intending to target unoccupied houses in the city for theft and burglary.  

Police have launched a thorough investigation to trace Khan's accomplice and examine their possible involvement in similar crimes. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested suspect.  

This incident highlights the growing vigilance of local law enforcement in Guwahati, as efforts intensify to crack down on criminal activities and safeguard residential areas. Residents have been urged to remain cautious and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.
