Guwahati: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini recently visited the revered Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple in Guwahati, where he performed a special prayer ritual seeking the blessings of the goddess. He prayed for the progress and prosperity of the state, expressing his hopes for the well-being of the people of Haryana. 

Sharing his sentiments on the social media platform X, Saini posted, "I offered prayers to Maa Kamakhya, the goddess of power, at Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple in Guwahati. I prayed for the state's advancement and the happiness of its people. May the blessings of the goddess bring welfare to my family in Haryana. I bow down at the feet of Maa Kamakhya." 

The prayer ceremony was attended by key party leaders, including Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli and State General Secretary (Organisation) Phanindranath Sharma. The presence of these senior leaders further underscored the significance of the occasion for the ruling party. 

Speaking to the media, Saini said, "I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to worship at the Maa Kamakhya Temple. I visited before the elections, and now I have come after the elections to pray for the bright future of the people of Haryana, wishing them good health and happiness." 

The Chief Minister's visit to the temple, a prominent pilgrimage site in India, is seen as an effort to seek divine intervention for the state's progress and resonate with the cultural and spiritual sentiments of the people. His acknowledgment of the blessings sought both before and after the elections reflects his dedication to the well-being of the state.

The Maa Kamakhya Temple is one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, drawing devotees from across the country. Saini's visit not only highlights the cultural ties between Haryana and Assam but also strengthens the political message of his commitment to the spiritual and cultural values that guide his governance.
