Eligible Candidates Can Apply at KAAC Irrigation Department, Diphu, Starting November 1
Diphu, Karbi Anglong | October 30, 2024:
Applications for the advertised positions will be accepted from November 1, 2024, until November 14, 2024. Candidates are required to submit their applications in the prescribed Standard Form, published in Part IX of the Assam Gazette, along with self-attested copies of all necessary documents, two recent passport-size photographs, and a KAAC Revenue Receipt. Applications must be submitted in person during office hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the KAAC Irrigation Office, Diphu.
Vacancy Details
The available positions, along with their pay scale and educational qualifications, are as follows:
Junior Assistant (Grade-III)
Total Vacancies: 4
Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 - Rs. 70,000, Grade Pay: Rs. 5,600
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree with a six-month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
Section Assistant (Grade-III)
Total Vacancies: 10
Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 - Rs. 70,000, Grade Pay: Rs. 5,200
Qualification: Higher Secondary (HS) pass with a six-month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
Tracer (Grade-III)
Total Vacancies: 2
Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 - Rs. 70,000, Grade Pay: Rs. 5,600
Qualification: HS pass with a Diploma in Fitting or Diesel Mechanic from a recognized institute.
Other positions include Assistant Fitter(1), Power Pump Operator(3), Electric Pump Mechanic(1), Khalashi(4), Switch Board Attendant(1), Assistant Mechanic (1),Office Chowkidar(3), and Grade-IV(1) roles with qualifications varying from HS pass to Class VIII pass. (Total 31 Post Available)
General Eligibility Conditions
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 38 years of age as of October 1, 2024. SC/ST candidates will receive an age relaxation of five years.
Permanent Residency: Applicants must be permanent residents of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts.
Application Fee: General category applicants must submit a KAAC Revenue Receipt of Rs. 20, while SC/ST candidates need to submit Rs. 10.
Selection Process
The selection process for Grade-III positions (Junior Assistant, Section Assistant, and Tracer) will include a written examination with a total of 150 marks. The test will cover topics such as General Knowledge, English Grammar, Arithmetic, and Technical Knowledge (for technical posts). Grade-IV candidates will undergo a viva voce or interview.
Application Submission Guidelines
Applications must be submitted in sealed envelopes with "Application for the post of [specific position]" clearly marked on the envelope. The required documents, including educational certificates, age proof, and two recent passport-size photographs, should accompany the application. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will be rejected.
