Gauhati University NSS Volunteers Honored as Special Guests at New Delhi's Independence Day Celebration


Guwahati, August 11, 2024— In a significant recognition of their dedication and hard work, four exceptional volunteers from the NSS Cell of Gauhati University have been invited as special guests to the Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort, New Delhi, on August 15th. This prestigious invitation comes from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in acknowledgment of their outstanding contributions to community service and the promotion of National Service Scheme (NSS) values.

Among the honored volunteers are:

Doli Choudhury: A State NSS Awardee, renowned for her relentless efforts in various social welfare activities, showcasing leadership and compassion in every initiative she undertakes.
Jayata Das: Another State Awardee, whose active participation in numerous NSS initiatives has made a significant impact at the grassroots level.
Sangeeta Soud: A dedicated volunteer from Gauhati University, known for her exemplary commitment to community service.
Kaushik Nath: Representing Goalpara College NSS Unit, Kaushik has shown remarkable leadership and dedication in his NSS endeavors.
