Imphal, Manipur - In a shocking turn of events, a chariot being prepared for the upcoming Ratha Yatra festival in Imphal was attacked by unidentified armed miscreants in the early hours of July 5. The attack occurred at approximately 12:30 am near the Sana Konung crossing, intensifying the already tense atmosphere in the region.
Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants arrived in a vehicle from the direction of Advance Hospital, discharged two rounds at the parked chariot, and fled the scene heading towards Palace Gate. Imphal East police were quickly notified and have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the attackers.
