Police Investigate After Attack Leaves Two Other Girls Unharmed

Young Lady Fatally Shot in Diphu by Unknown Assailants

DIPHU - In a shocking incident, a young woman was fatally shot by unknown assailants at Arlonglangso, 3 Kilo, Diphu-Lumding Road, Diphu. The tragic event occurred around 1 AM on June 11, 2024.

The victim has been identified as Hukuri Tissopi, a 23-year-old daughter of Sing Tisso and the late Kare Rongpharpi from Virvar Bher Rongpi Village, Dengaon, Karbi Anglong.

According to reports, the incident took place when two miscreants broke into the house by digging a tunnel and shot Hukuri Tissopi in the head while she was in a room with two other girls. The other two girls were unharmed.

Police arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting.
