On June 6, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a press conference to unveil significant advancements in the state's governance, emphasizing educational reforms and introducing the Assam Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2024.
Chief Minister Sarma highlighted the primary features of the new scheme, stating, "Under the Assam Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2024, students who have passed their HSLC and HS examinations will receive financial benefits of Rs 12,500 and Rs 10,000, respectively." He added that a Cabinet Sub-Committee, composed of Ranoj Pegu and Chandra Mohan Patwari, has been established to finalize the distribution framework for these funds.
The Chief Minister assured that the scheme would be rolled out in August, with formal approval from the state cabinet. This initiative aims to provide essential financial support to students who have successfully completed their HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) and HS (Higher Secondary) exams, facilitating their further education or career pursuits.
