Two CRPF Members Lose Lives, Two Injured in Naranseina Area Attack
Two members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) lost their lives while two others sustained injuries in an alleged attack by Kuki militants in Manipur on Saturday.
The incident occurred at the Naranseina area falling under the Moirang polling station in the Bishnupur district, bordering Churachandpur district, according to police reports.
A sub-inspector was among those killed in the attack, with the injured promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The deceased and injured personnel were part of the CRPF 128 Battalion deployed in the Naransena area of Bishnupur district.
Reports from locals indicate that the initial attack led to a prolonged gunfight lasting for about two hours, during which the militants reportedly utilized explosives as well.
