Focus on Increasing Enrolment: Minister Pegu's Assurance to College Principals
27 February, 24: Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu, recently addressed concerns regarding the purported amalgamation of colleges with low enrolment in the state. Taking to social media, Pegu clarified that there are currently no plans to merge colleges due to low enrolment numbers. Instead, the focus is on initiatives to boost enrolment rates in colleges facing this challenge.

However, Pegu reiterated that if despite these efforts a college fails to attract students, the department will take appropriate action.
