2 January, 24, Manipur: Tensions persist in the border town of Moreh, Manipur, as reports emerge of armed militants ambushing security forces, marking the third such incident in as many days. The latest reports indicate that armed miscreants targeted security forces by hurling two bombs, escalating the already precarious situation.
In a significant and intense encounter yesterday, a fierce gun battle erupted between security forces and armed militants in Moreh. According to sources, the armed militants launched an attack around 4:20 pm from Chawangphai Village ward number 7 and Kananveng, prompting a swift response from the security forces.

Government authorities and law enforcement agencies are expected to respond promptly to the surge in violence, taking proactive measures to prevent further escalations and restore stability in the area. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing efforts to address the security challenges posed by armed militants in Moreh.
