Tragic Road Accident Claims Two Lives and Injures Six in Karbi Anglong District
Four individuals, including three women, succumb to the collision, while four others are rushed to the hospital.
Karbi Anglong, Assam - 19 December, 23: In a devastating road accident that occurred in the early hours of Monday, 18 December, on NH 39 under the jurisdiction of Borpathar police station in Karbi Anglong District, two lives were lost, and six individuals sustained injuries. The collision transpired between a Thar with registration number As 01FJ 4114 and a Jypsy bearing registration no NL 04 C 3801.

According to local law enforcement, the incident involved a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy traveling from Dimapur on the Nagaland side, which collided with another vehicle heading in the opposite direction on National Highway 39 near Bokajan under the Borpathar police station. Tragically, four individuals, including three women and the Gypsy's driver, lost their lives, while four others were injured. The injured were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention, as confirmed by Rustom Raj Brahma, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Bokajan.
