JNIMS Conducts Post-Mortem as Manipur Mourns Loss of 13 Lives
Imphal, Manipur- 5 December, 23: In a somber incident that shook Manipur, 13 lives were tragically cut short in what is believed to be an ambush by suspected Kuki militants. The heart-wrenching incident unfolded near Leithao Village in Tengnoupal District under Machi Police Station on the morning of December 4, leaving the community in shock.
The aftermath saw the lifeless bodies of the victims being transported to the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) for post-mortem examinations, highlighting the gravity of the situation. The arrival of the deceased at midnight added a poignant layer to the unfolding tragedy.
