ASSAM, 18 December 2023: In a recent event at Bongshar in Kamrup, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized the remarkable growth in medical education, stating that MBBS seats in Assam have increased from 200 to 1200. Speaking at the inauguration of Bongshar mini stadium and a felicitation program for meritorious students, Sarma highlighted the critical role of optimism in advancing the nation.
Sarma attributed the nation's progress to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's optimistic approach, stating, "Today, the country is moving towards progress because our Prime Minister is optimistic." He illustrated the transformative power of positivity by referencing advancements in Assam's medical field.
"Pessimism is our biggest enemy; negativity is our worst enemy," declared Sarma, urging the audience to recognize the world's potential for progress. Drawing parallels with influential figures like Einstein, Tendulkar, and Modi, he emphasized that despair hinders greatness.
The Chief Minister proclaimed, "Despair is our enemy; hope is our friend," encouraging citizens to embrace positivity for driving progress. Expressing deep appreciation for his constituency, Jalukbari, Sarma shared the integral role it played in shaping his life.
"Jalukbari has been more than just a constituency to me; it has been an integral part of my life's journey," stated Sarma, expressing gratitude for the privilege of connecting with every individual.
