Tragic Elephant Attack Claims Four Lives in Bokajan, Karbi Anglong District

Bokajan, Assam - 24 November, 2023: In a devastating incident on Thursday evening, November 23, 2023, an elephant attacked and killed four individuals at Bormanthi (Lalu Basti) under Bokajan police station in the Karbi Anglong District. The victims, identified as Birika Kerkata (28 years), Kaniya Traya (50 years), Jesoya Kerkata (4 years), and Augustin Kormokar (2 years), were on their way home when the tragic event occurred.

According to sources, the unsuspecting victims fell victim to the elephant's aggression during their journey. Promptly, law enforcement personnel reached the scene, and the deceased bodies were transported for post-mortem examinations.
