Arunachal Pradesh's Airgun Surrender Abhiyan Receives Global Recognition at UNESCO Biosphere Reserves Conference

In a moment of pride for Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media platform X to announce the global recognition garnered by the state's #AirgunSurrenderAbhiyan at the International Conference and Meeting of UNESCO on 'Biosphere Reserves' held in Sabah, Malaysia.

CM Pema Khandu expressed his elation, giving credit to Shri Natung Mama, the Honorable Minister for Environment & Forest, for conceptualizing and spearheading this commendable effort.

At the heart of this triumph is Dr Damodhar AT, IFS, Director of the Dehang-Debang Biosphere Reserve in Arunachal Pradesh. Dr. Damodhar was honored during the conference, receiving recognition from Malaysia's Minister for Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change, Shri Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmed.
