Manja, Assam - October 01, 2023:
Community Joins Hands for a Clean and Green Manja: Big Cleanup Before Gandhi Jayanti
In a fantastic show of teamwork and care for the environment, folks from Polling Stations 127, 128, 129, 130, and 165 got together for a huge cleanup. They spruced up the ICDS OFFICE field, 9th Mile Nepali Basti Road, Manja Bazaar Road, and the nearby hospital area, all in Manja. Leading the charge was Ms. Tillutoma Hasnu Ji, a respected member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (MAC), along with other important BJP figures. This cleanup was done right before Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti as an act of community service.

Choosing Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti for this event was special. It's because Mahatma Gandhi always talked about keeping things clean and helping society. So, by doing this cleanup on his birthday, everyone paid respect to his ideas and also showed that they care about their community.

The main focus of the cleanup was the ICDS OFFICE field. People gathered there with brooms, rakes, and a strong will to make their area cleaner and more beautiful.

The day started with a meeting around 10 am. The meeting was run by Mr. Dil Bahadur Chetry, the President of Manja Hindi LP School(Left). He played a big part in making this event happen. He gave everyone a clear plan for what they would do that day.

During the meeting, Ms. Tillutoma Hasnu Ji shared some inspiring words. She said, "Today, we hold brooms in our hands, but we also hold the promise of a cleaner and brighter tomorrow." Her words reminded everyone that what they were doing today would make their future better.

People felt inspired by what she said. It made them even more excited to clean up their area.
On the way to his constituency, Madhuram Lekthe Ji, EM of KAAC, also joined the cause. He stopped and participated in the "1 Tarikh 1 Ghanta under Swachhata Hi Seva" Garbage free India campaign at Manja Market area, Karbi Anglong. He was accompanied by Smt. Tilutoma Hasnu, Hon’ble MAC, KAAC, and dedicated BJP workers. Mr. Lekthe Ji emphasized, "Remember, change begins with us. By working together, we can create a more harmonious environment for all."

At the end of the day, the place was much cleaner, and the message was clear: when people work together, they can make their community better. This cleanup was a great way to remember Mahatma Gandhi and his teachings.

It showed that if we want to see a better world, we need to be part of the change. The BJP Workers of booth levels from Polling Stations 127, 128, 129, 130, and 165 in Manja proved that actions speak louder than words.
