Hojai, Assam - October 15, 2023: In a significant development in the fight against corruption, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam, apprehended Sewali Chakravorty, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Binakandi Block in Hojai District. The arrest was made today after Chakravorty was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 inside her car on National Highway at Niz Kathiatoli, District Nagaon.
