Guwahati, October 6, 2023 – The Assam Police Commando Battalions are set to fill 51 vacancies for the position of Sub Inspector (AB) as part of the state government's ongoing efforts to bolster the police force.   • OBC/MOBC: 13

• Note: 3% of OBC/MOBC posts will be reserved for candidates from Tea Tribes and Adivasi Communities.
• Pay: Pay Scale of Rs. 14000- 60500 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Rs. 8700/- Grade Pay plus other Allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Nationality: Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.
• Registration: Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Language: Must be fluent in Assamese or another state language.
• Age: Between 20 and 24 years as of January 1, 2023, with relaxations for specific categories.
• Education: Graduation in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Physical Standards: Height, weight, chest measurements as per the guidelines.

Application Process

• Applications will be accepted from October 15, 2023, to November 1, 2023.
• There is no application fee.

Selection Process

• Candidates will go through a Written Test, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Psychometric Test.
• Written Test: 100 marks, OMR-based with negative marking.
• PST/PET: Measurement of height, weight, chest (for males), and physical endurance tests.
• Psychometric Test: Maximum 20 marks.
• Final selection will be based on marks obtained in all these stages.
