Guwahati, Assam: The State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam, under the office of the Chairman, located in Rehabari, Guwahati, has released an official advertisement dated October 6, 2023, regarding the recruitment of 654 Driver Constables in Assam Police. This recruitment drive is a part of the Assam government's ongoing initiative to fill vacancies in various departments, including Assam Police, DGCD, APRO, and more.

• Unreserved: 333
• OBC/MOBC: 177

• ST (P): 65
• ST (H): 33
• 3% of total posts within the OBC/MOBC quota will be reserved for candidates belonging to Tea Tribes and Adivasi Communities.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.
• Age: 18 to 25 years as of January 1, 2023, with age relaxations for certain categories:
• 5 years for SC, ST (P), and ST (H) candidates
• 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
• Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
• Education: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
• Candidates must possess a valid driving license for LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) or MMV (Medium Motor Vehicle) or HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle).

Selection Procedure:
