GUWAHATI, Assam: In a significant step towards empowering women and fulfilling a key promise of the Government of Assam, Honorable Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma ceremonially distributed relief measures to approximately 2.22 lakh women loan borrowers under the Assam Microfinance Incentive & Relief Scheme, 2021 (Category - III). This move, which comes at a total relief cost of ₹291 crore, is poised to provide a substantial boost to the State's women, enabling them to access fresh loans for their continued prosperity.
