Assam and Arunachal Pradesh CMs Laud Hindi's Role on Hindi Diwas
Chief Ministers Emphasize the Significance of Hindi on Hindi Diwas
On September 14th, the Chief Ministers of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Pema Khandu, respectively, took to social media to underscore the importance of Hindi on Hindi Diwas.

Hindi Diwas, celebrated annually on September 14th, commemorates the adoption of Hindi as one of India's official languages. It is a day to honor the cultural and linguistic diversity of India while acknowledging the unifying role of Hindi as a language that bridges geographical and cultural divides.

Assam's Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, posted:

Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, shared:

Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged the cultural richness of local languages while emphasizing the crucial role of Hindi in India's unity. Pema Khandu celebrated Hindi as a symbol of India's glory and dignity, highlighting its international recognition.

Hindi Diwas serves as a reminder of India's linguistic diversity, with thousands of languages spoken across the country. While each state treasures its local languages as a cultural heritage, Hindi plays a pivotal role in national integration. It serves as a unifying force that connects people from various linguistic backgrounds.

Hindi Diwas serves as a reminder of India's linguistic diversity, with approximately 51% of the Indian population considering Hindi their first language. When considering both first and second language speakers, Hindi is understood by a significant portion of the Indian population.

Hindi is also recognized globally as one of the top three most spoken languages, with millions of speakers worldwide. While it is primarily spoken in India, Hindi has a presence in countries with Indian diaspora communities.

As the nation observed Hindi Diwas, both Chief Ministers extended their warm greetings to Hindi enthusiasts, emphasizing the dual importance of preserving local languages and recognizing Hindi as a unifying force in India.
