Security Forces Neutralize Unexploded Bombs in Manipur Amidst Ongoing Efforts
Addressing the Current Situation: Efficient Disposal of Unexploded Bombs in Manipur
In response to the current circumstances, security forces in Manipur have undertaken a commendable operation, successfully neutralizing five unexploded bombs that were discovered in the adjacent areas of Bishnupur and Churachandpur Districts.

Amid sporadic instances of gatherings by protestors, the State remains committed to upholding peace and security. Over the past 24 hours, collaborative search initiatives were executed by both State Police and Central Security forces in the vulnerable regions encompassing Imphal-West, Imphal-East, Bishnupur, and Thoubal districts. These coordinated efforts yielded significant results, resulting in the retrieval of seven firearms, eight rounds of ammunition, and 24 explosive devices.

The security apparatus stands resolute, with a network of 124 Nakas/Checkpoints strategically positioned throughout Manipur's diverse districts. This joint endeavor has led to the apprehension of 992 individuals who were found to be violating regulations across the State.

Preserving the Vital Supply Chain: Uninterrupted Movement of Essential Vehicles

Demonstrating remarkable resilience in maintaining the supply chain, the movement of 246 vehicles transporting essential goods along NH-2 remains unimpeded. Rigorous security measures and convoy arrangements are in place along vulnerable stretches, ensuring the secure transit of these vehicles. However, it's important to note that today, there will be a temporary suspension of convoy movement on NH-37 due to ongoing road maintenance conducted by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL).

Reliable Sources and Collective Efforts for Stability

Authorities stress the importance of relying solely on verified information while disregarding any unfounded rumors. Citizens are urged to verify facts from credible sources, with the rumor-free hotline - 9233522822 of the Central Control Room - serving as a dependable resource. Furthermore, members of the public are encouraged to contribute to the cause of peace and stability by voluntarily surrendering any looted firearms, ammunition, or explosives to the local police or nearby security forces. This collective commitment reinforces Manipur's endeavor to maintain an environment of tranquility and harmony.
