Manipur Situation: Government Invites Dialogue Amidst Opposition's Demands
Government of India Open to Discussion on Manipur Amidst Opposition's Demands.
In a recent statement, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi expressed the Government of India's willingness to engage in a discussion regarding the situation in Manipur. The government seeks an open dialogue on the matter, despite the Opposition's insistence on discussing it under Rule 267.

Minister Joshi highlighted the need for a conversation on Manipur, which has witnessed unfortunate incidents in the past. He contrasted the current approach with previous instances when the Home Minister did not visit the region, and discussions, if any, were handled by the Minister of State.

Emphasizing the government's commitment to transparency, the Home Minister has expressed his willingness to participate in the discussion and respond to concerns. Minister Joshi appealed to the Opposition to join the dialogue and share their perspectives on the matter.

However, the Minister also pointed out a concerning issue of opposition's inability to accept the people's verdict after Prime Minister Modi's nine years in power. He alleged that the Gandhi family considers sitting on the PM's chair as their birthright, which creates resistance to accepting the election results.

The Government of India remains open to discussing the situation in Manipur, hoping for a constructive dialogue with the Opposition. Minister Pralhad Joshi called for cooperation and understanding to address the challenges facing the region and the nation at large.
