Government Launches Study In India (SII) Portal: Establishing a Global Education Hub

On Thursday, the government unveiled the Study In India (SII) portal, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to position India as a prominent global education hub. The portal aims to streamline the process of student registrations and visa applications, providing a convenient and comprehensive one-stop solution for prospective international students.

The launch ceremony took place in Delhi, with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar jointly inaugurating the portal. This momentous event also witnessed the presence of ambassadors from more than ten countries, showcasing the significance of India's commitment to international education.

Addressing the gathering, S Jaishankar expressed his confidence in the portal's potential to establish a robust international footprint in the education sphere. He emphasized the integrated approach of the SII portal, designed to provide a user-friendly experience for international students throughout their journey – from initial registration to visa approval. This simplified process facilitates students in selecting desired courses and receiving offers from relevant institutions.
