Agartala, August 17, 2023:
Tofajjal Hossain and Bindu Debnath, the chosen candidates for assembly constituencies 20-Boxanagar and 23-Dhanpur, energetically submitted their nomination papers with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee by their side. The candidates were joined by union minister Pratima Bhoumik, cabinet members, and Mayor Dipak Majumder. Hossain's bike rally went from Boxanagar to Sonamura, while Debnath's convoy went from Dhanpur to Sonamura, where BJP supporters gathered for a rally. 

Both Hossain and Debnath officially handed their nomination papers to the Returning Officer at the Sonamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office. The day ended with a lively rally, where Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed optimism about their victory. He mentioned the government's commitment to the "HIRA model" for the state, focused on tangible progress. Saha also spoke about the BJP's achievements in the past five years.

Saha raised concerns about unruly behavior in the previous assembly session and urged voters to choose wisely for effective representation. He highlighted the BJP's dedication to avoiding disruptive elements. The nomination process concluded with four candidates, including Tofajjal Hossain, submitting nominations for the 20-Boxanagar constituency. Similarly, five candidates, including Bindu Debnath, submitted nominations for the 23-Dhanpur Constituency.

Nomination papers will be reviewed on Friday, with withdrawal of nominations possible until August 21. The focus remains on the citizens' choices as the electoral process continues in Boxanagar and Dhanpur.
