Legal Directive Halts TET Marksheets Distribution: Samagra Shiksha, Assam adheres to Hon'ble High Court's order.
GUWAHATI, ASSAM: In a recent development, the office of the Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Assam, has taken the decision to halt the distribution of TET Marksheets cum Certificate for the Special Schedule TET-2023. This move comes in response to the Order dated 31.07.2023 issued by Hon'ble High Court in WP(C) 14278/2023.
Dr. Om Prakash, IAS, Member Secretary of the Empowered Committee and TET cum Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Assam, issued an official communication to the District Mission Coordinators of Baksa, Chirang, Dima Hasao, Kokrajhar, Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, and Udalguri. The letter stated that the distribution of TET Marksheets cum Certificate for the Special Schedule TET-2023 should be put on hold until further orders or communication from the authorities.
In light of this development, the concerned authorities have been notified about the suspension of the distribution process. The decision was taken to comply with the directive from the Hon'ble High Court and ensure appropriate adherence to the legal proceedings.
The matter has also reached the judicial sphere, with the case being heard by Honourable Mr. Justice Lanusungkum Jamir. Advocate Mr. R. Bora is representing the petitioner, while Mr. D. K. Roy, learned standing counsel of SEBA, has requested one week's time to receive instructions.
The court has listed the matter for a subsequent hearing on 09.08.2023. Until then, the distribution of marksheets for the Special TET-2023 for lower primary and upper primary schools shall remain suspended.
