The accused official, Nowshad Ali, was nabbed after he accepted a bribe from a complainant. The bribe was allegedly given to expedite the processing of a land-related document known as "Namjari." The complainant had approached the Lot Mandal's office seeking assistance with the bureaucratic procedures surrounding the document.

The DIR_VAC_ASSAM, in a well-coordinated operation, gathered evidence of the illicit transaction. Undercover agents were deployed to monitor the exchange, ensuring that the incriminating act was captured on record.
