Key Legislative Matters on the Agenda: Assam Legislative Assembly's Autumn Session Announced
Dispur: In a recent notification issued by the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria exercised his powers under Article 174(1) of the Constitution of India to summon the Autumn Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly. The session is scheduled to commence at 9.30 A.M. on Monday, 11th September 2023, at the Assembly Chamber in Dispur.
Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria's order calls for the Assembly to convene and address key legislative matters in accordance with the amended provisions of the Indian Constitution. This gathering will provide an essential platform for discussing and deliberating upon vital issues concerning the state.
The Assembly's Autumn Session promises to be a crucial event, wherein the esteemed members, along with the Hon'ble Ministers, will come together to address the pressing needs of Assam's citizens. As per Memo NO.LAQ.88/2023/511-546, copies of the notification have been forwarded to various dignitaries, such as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Assam, the Election Commission of India, and the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Company Affairs, among others.
