Assam Home Guard Stabbed to Death: Kokrajhar District Shocked by Tragic Incident

Guwahati, August 01, 2023: A tragic incident occurred in Kokrajhar district on Sunday night, where an Assam Home Guard, Basudev Kisku, was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants. The incident unfolded when Basudev received a phone call while visiting his home in Chirang, asking him to meet at the Dablegaon area of Amguri in Kokrajhar. Hours later, his lifeless body was found on the roadside with multiple injury marks.

The police have started a thorough investigation to apprehend the culprits behind this alleged murder. The family members of the deceased believe that it was a planned murder, leaving the local community in anguish and fear.

In response to this tragic incident, the All Adivasi Students' Association has demanded quick action from the authorities, calling for the arrest of the perpetrators within 24 hours. They have warned of staging a democratic protest if their plea for justice is not met. The demand for justice echoes throughout the region, seeking accountability and safety for all.
