In a commendable initiative by the Assam Government, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma flagged off a significant addition to the healthcare sector through the Tribal Welfare Department's program. Today, the state witnessed the launch of a fleet of ambulances as a part of the tribal community outreach initiative.

Under this initiative, a total of 34 ambulances have been deployed across various districts of the state to bolster healthcare services in tribal regions. These ambulances will be stationed at Health Centers, Sub-Health Centers, Primary Health Centers, Sub-Centers for Minor Primary Health, and at the State Hospitals. This move aims to enhance medical accessibility and healthcare provisions for the tribal communities, ensuring that timely medical assistance reaches them when needed the most.

The introduction of these new ambulance services marks a crucial step towards improving the healthcare landscape in the state, with a particular focus on tribal areas.
