Dr. Abdul Kalam's journey to greatness started from humble beginnings. Born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, he overcame various challenges to become a prominent scientist. With unwavering determination and relentless hard work, he excelled in academics and eventually joined India's prestigious space research organization, the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
As a scientist at DRDO, Dr. Kalam played a pivotal role in advancing India's indigenous defense capabilities. He led key projects and made significant contributions to the development of ballistic missiles, including the renowned Agni and Prithvi missiles. His efforts bolstered India's defense preparedness and showcased the nation's potential on the global stage.
In 2002, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam took office as the 11th President of India, holding the esteemed position until 2007. During his tenure, he continued to be an inspiration to the nation, actively engaging with the youth and encouraging them to pursue scientific research and innovation.
