Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha's Weighty Statement: "Looking Within Our Own Backyard, Not Towards Manipur"
Rajasthan Minister Sacked After Speaking on Crimes Against Women; BJP Demands CM's Resignation

Jaipur: In a shocking turn of events, Rajasthan Minister of State Rajendra Singh Gudha was removed from his post by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot following his statement on the state's alarming women's safety situation. The development has sparked intense debates with BJP leaders accusing CM Gehlot of suppressing the truth and demanding his resignation.

The controversy unfolded when Gudha candidly expressed in the Rajasthan assembly that the state government had failed in ensuring women's safety, a statement that did not sit well with CM Gehlot. The Rajasthan government swiftly sacked the minister, leading to widespread criticism from opposition leaders.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and BJP MLA Vasudev Devnani criticized CM Gehlot's actions, accusing him of being intolerant to the truth and acting in a politically motivated manner. BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that the removal was influenced by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra.

Governor Kalraj Mishra accepted CM Gehlot's recommendation to dismiss Gudha with immediate effect. However, the official statement did not mention the reason behind the termination.

The incident occurred against the backdrop of rising crimes against women in Rajasthan, drawing national attention to the state's deteriorating law and order situation. The recovery of charred bodies in Jodhpur and a recent gang rape incident involving a 17-year-old Dalit girl further fueled the outrage.

Union Minister Smriti Irani disclosed that the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and National Commission for Women have taken note of the incidents. The BJP intensified their attack on CM Gehlot, urging him to step down, holding him morally responsible for the tragic events unfolding in the state.

While the political tensions continue to escalate, the focus remains on the safety and security of women in Rajasthan, with demands for stringent actions and accountability from the state government.
