The Government of Assam's Department of Women and Child Development, through the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) of Mission Shakti, is set to bolster its efforts in empowering women across the state. An official advertisement (No. SPMU/SHEW/Recruit/03/2022/) has been released, inviting applications from eligible candidates for purely temporary and contractual engagement at the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW).
The engagement aims to fill various positions across districts including Bajali, Barpeta, Biswanath, Charaideo, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Sonitpur, South Salamara, Tinsukia, Udalguri, and West Karbi Anglong.
Interested candidates, who must be citizens of India as defined under Articles 5 to 9 of the Indian Constitution, are required to meet the eligibility criteria for educational qualifications, age, and other necessary requirements.
The application process will be conducted online, and candidates can apply through the website (at end) from July 22, 2023, 05.00 pm onwards, until August 6, 2023, 05.00 pm. The online application link will be activated within two days from the date of this advertisement's publication.

It is essential to note that each candidate can apply for a specific position in only one district. The age requirement for applicants is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 38 years as of January 1, 2023, with a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST(P), ST(H), and persons with disability categories.
Documents required for the application include the candidate's last educational qualification, age-proof certificate, Voter ID Card, work experience details, and caste certificate (where applicable).
The following positions are available along with their eligibility criteria and fixed remuneration:
1. District Mission Coordinator (DMC)
Educational Qualification: Graduate, preferably in Social Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Nutrition/ Medicine/Health, with experience working in related domains for at least 3 years in Government/Non-Government organizations.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 35,500/- per month
2. District Programme Coordinator (DPC)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Economics/ Banking or related disciplines, with preference given to Post Graduates. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in working with Government/Non-Government organizations focusing on financial literacy and inclusion themes.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 35,500/- per month
3. Gender Specialist
Educational Qualification: Graduate in social work or other social disciplines, with preference for Postgraduates. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in working with Government/Non-Government organizations in gender-focused themes.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 20,800/- per month
4. DPA(PMMVY)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Sociology/Social Work/Economics/Rural Management/Education or similar disciplines, with at least 2 years of experience in working with Government/Non-Government organizations focused on financial literacy and inclusion themes.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 20,800/- per month
5. Accounts Assistant
Educational Qualification: Graduate or diploma holder in accounts or related disciplines, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Government/Non-Government organizations in relevant domains.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 19,000/- per month
6. DEO for PMMVY Work
Educational Qualification: Graduation with working knowledge in computers/IT, and a minimum of 1 year experience in data management, process documentation, and web-based reporting formats at the state or district level with government or Non-Governmental/IT-based organizations.
Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 10,400/- per month
