The Higher Education Department of Assam has given its approval for the creation of 75 Assistant Professor posts to facilitate the opening of the Arts stream in five Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya colleges. The official notification, issued by Smti. Kabita Deka, ACS, Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam Higher Education Department, highlights the following colleges where the Arts stream will be introduced:
1. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Behali, Biswanath.
2. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Amjonga, Goalpara.
3. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Eraligool, Karimganj.
4. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Dalgaon, Darrang.
5. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Tulungia, Bongaigaon.
The newly created Assistant Professor posts will be distributed across various subjects, including Education, Economics, Political Science, History, and Sociology. The posts will carry a salary scale ranging from Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month.
The decision to create these posts comes after obtaining the necessary concurrence from the Finance-EC(III) Department and Finance-(SIU) Department, as stated in their respective endorsements.
