Thieves Target DIG (Law and Order) of Assam Police in Morning Phone Snatching
Thieves Strike Again: DIG (Law and Order) of Assam Police Becomes Latest Target.
In a startling incident today, a high-profile individual fell victim to a group of thieves during his morning walk in Guwahati, Assam. The target of this audacious theft was none other than DIG (Law and Order) Vivekraj Singh of the Assam Police.

The incident occurred on July 23, when DIG Vivekraj Singh was on his regular morning walk in the vicinity of Ulubari's Mazar Road. Unexpectedly, a group of thieves approached him and snatched his cell phone, leaving him in shock and disbelief.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the theft. The incident is especially ironic, given that the victim is a high-ranking police officer who was simply going about his daily exercise routine when the criminals struck.

This is not the first such incident in the area. Just a few days ago, there was a robbery attempt at the residence of another senior law enforcement official, Tapan Kumar Deka, who currently serves as the director of the Intelligence Bureau. Fortunately, Mr. Deka was not at home during the burglary, but the incident has left residents of Guwahati's Hengrabari area deeply concerned about their safety and security.

Regrettably, incidents of robbery have been on the rise in Guwahati in recent times. Whether it's snatch-and-run cases or thieves breaking into residences, the city's residents are increasingly becoming targets of these criminal activities.

Law enforcement authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to safeguard themselves and their belongings. As investigations into these incidents continue, the police are working tirelessly to apprehend the culprits and put an end to this alarming trend.

In the meantime, it's crucial for everyone to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activities to the police immediately. Working together as a community, the residents of Guwahati can help create a safer environment for all.
