Doli Choudhury, a dedicated NSS volunteer from Gauhati University, has been chosen as the recipient of the State NSS Award in the volunteer category by the Department of Sports & Youth Welfare, Government of Assam. Involvement in Community and Social Services:
Doli Choudhury has demonstrated outstanding commitment and engagement, both within the university campus and in society. As a member of the Gauhati University Campus NSS Unit, she has actively participated in numerous initiatives, including:
1. Plantation Programmes: Doli has played a pivotal role in organizing and executing plantation drives, contributing to environmental conservation and sustainability efforts.
2. Voluntary Blood Donations: She has enthusiastically encouraged and participated in voluntary blood donation drives, raising awareness about the importance of donating blood to save lives.
3. Programmes on Plastic Pollution and Environment: Doli has actively contributed to programs addressing the critical issue of plastic pollution and promoting environmental awareness among the public.
4. Programmes on Climate Change under Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) G20: She has been actively involved in initiatives focused on climate change and the achievement of sustainable development goals, emphasizing the urgency of addressing environmental challenges.

Participation in National Level Programmes:
Doli Choudhury's dedication and passion for community service extend beyond the university campus. She has actively participated in national-level programs sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, and the Directorate of NSS, New Delhi. These include:
1. Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp: Doli represented Gauhati University at the Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp, showcasing her commitment to national integration and youth empowerment.
2. National Integration Camp: She actively participated in the National Integration Camp, fostering unity and diversity among participants from various parts of the country.
3. North-East NSS Festival: Doli had the privilege of attending the North-East NSS Festival, celebrating the culture and contributions of the northeastern region of India.
