The Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, took to Twitter to share his participation in the foundation day celebration of Sivaagar. During the event, he felicitated a total of 805 Bihu performers, both men (Bihuwas) and women (Bihuwatis), from the district. These talented individuals had participated in the #MegaBihu event.
To recognize their outstanding contributions and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Assam, the Assam Government awarded the performers with certificates and an honorarium of ₹25,000 each. This gesture serves as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
