In a shocking incident that took place in Bihar's Begusarai district, a music teacher and his student were subjected to a violent attack by villagers after they were allegedly caught in a compromising position. The incident occurred on Thursday night in Pathkaula village, falling under the jurisdiction of Tegra police station.
The victims have been identified as Kishan Dev Chaurasia, aged 45, and a 20-year-old girl who was his student. Chaurasia is known in the district as a music teacher who plays the harmonium during religious (Bhajan Kirtan) events and also provides tuition to young learners.
According to reports, a video emerged on Friday, showing the horrific incident where the accused were being thrashed by angry villagers who had torn their clothes. The villagers claimed to have caught them red-handed in an objectionable position, and they took matters into their own hands.
In response to the incident, Begusarai SP Yogendra Kumar has initiated an inquiry and instructed the SDPO rank officer to apprehend the culprits involved in the assault. The authorities are taking the matter seriously and working to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The disturbing video of the attack was also circulated on social media, drawing widespread condemnation from people across the region. In the video, one of the accused can be seen wearing a saffron color turban on the shoulder, which further intensified reactions from the public.
Following the incident, Arvind Kumar Singh, a prominent BJP leader, expressed his strong disapproval and drew attention to the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. He urged Tejashwi Yadav to address the issue seriously and work towards ensuring the safety and security of citizens in the state.
