In a recent announcement, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed that the state government will be bestowing the Lok Sew Puraskar upon public officials who have exemplified the ideals of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi. The screening committee has evaluated these nominations and recommended 12 officials for the prestigious award. Additionally, the state-level committee has shortlisted the names of 6 public officials, highlighting their outstanding achievements and dedication to public service.
At the district level, an impressive number of 189 nominations have been put forward for the Lok Sew Puraskar. Out of these, 113 nominations have been recommended by the screening committees, while the state-level committee has chosen 53 nominees who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and service at the grassroots level.
