While Barsapara missed the chance to host any main matches of the upcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2023, it has been selected as one of the venues for hosting warm-up matches during the mega event. Alongside Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad will also play host to these warm-up matches, scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3.
