Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks Commencement of Arunachal Pradesh's State Data Centre Project.
A special groundbreaking ceremony, known as "bhumi pooja," was held on Tuesday to celebrate the initiation of this significant project. The event was graced by Chairman IT Doni Nich and Director IT Neelam Yapin Tana, along with other department officers. This ceremony symbolizes the official start of the construction and implementation of the SDC, marking a remarkable milestone in Arunachal Pradesh's efforts to modernize and strengthen its IT infrastructure.
The State Data Centre will serve as a critical information infrastructure (CII) and play a pivotal role in the success of IT and e-Governance initiatives across the state. One of its primary functions is to act as a central repository of state data, ensuring safe and secure data storage while facilitating online service delivery to citizens. The portal will enable easy access to essential citizen information and services, making it a valuable resource for the people of the state. It will also function as the state's intranet portal.
In addition to its role in managing data, the SDC will be instrumental in disaster recovery. It will ensure that critical data remains safe and accessible even in adverse situations, safeguarding vital information from potential loss. Moreover, the facility will support remote management and service integration, optimizing IT operations for greater efficiency.
