BALASORE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledges unwavering support for victims of a devastating train collision in Odisha, vowing to leave no stone unturned in their treatment and recovery. During his visit to the crash site, where he personally met with injured passengers, the Prime Minister assured the nation that those responsible for the tragedy would face stringent punishment.

The horrific incident unfolded at Bahanaga Bazar Station in Odisha's Balasore district, involving the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Coromandel Express, and a goods train on separate tracks. As reported by the Odisha Government's Special Relief Commissioner's office, a total of 17 coaches from the two passenger trains were derailed, resulting in severe damage.

In a show of solidarity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the accident site via an Air Force chopper, landing near Bahanaga Bazar Station in Balasore district, approximately 170 kilometers north of Bhubaneswar. Accompanied by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, he conducted a thorough inspection of the area. The Prime Minister also visited the injured survivors at the Balasore District Hospital, where he emphasized the importance of providing them with necessary assistance.
During his visit, PM Modi engaged in discussions with the Cabinet Secretary and Health Minister, urging them to ensure that the injured and their families receive all the support they require. He expressed his concern for the affected families, emphasizing the need to minimize any inconvenience they may face during this difficult time.
