OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal Stands with Manipur CM on No Separate Administration, Urges PM Modi for NRC Implementation
BJP OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal Submits Memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Silchar, Assam: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal recently submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar District, Assam. The memorandum highlighted several key demands put forth by the party's OBC Morcha in Silchar.

The memorandum began by expressing support for the decision of the Chief Minister of Manipur regarding the non-separation of administration in Manipur. The BJP OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal emphasized its endorsement of this decision.

Another crucial demand raised by the OBC Morcha was the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Manipur under the guidance of the Supreme Court of India. The party stressed the importance of conducting the NRC exercise in the state.

The memorandum also called for the withdrawal of the Suspension of Operations of the Kuki Militants with the Government of India. It further suggested that these militants should be investigated under the purview of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and charged with anti-national cases and national threat laws.

The OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal emphasized the necessity of achieving speedy normalcy in Manipur. They highlighted the need for the state to progress economically, socially, and politically for the benefit of all indigenous people residing in both the valley and hilly areas.

Furthermore, the memorandum demanded that the government take responsibility for the reconstruction of houses and properties damaged during recent incidents. The party called for swift action in providing compensation and support to those affected.
In light of the Meeteis-Kuki Riot, the OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal urged the government to provide a minimum compensation of Rs. 10 lakhs (Rupees ten lakhs only) per victim family and their legal heirs. They emphasized the importance of acknowledging the lives lost during the unfortunate events.

The memorandum was signed by Sajal Chanda Okmen Lakhi Kanda Singha, President of BJP OBC Morcha Silchar Committee, as well as Uttam Goale, General Secretary of the Silchar Committee.

The BJP OBC Morcha Silchar Block Mandal hopes that the memorandum will draw the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and lead to concrete actions addressing their concerns.
