DIPHU: Karbi Anglong Districts Alter School Timings to Combat Rising Temperatures

To ensure the well-being of students amid soaring temperatures, the Nagaon district administration and the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) have announced a change in school timings for all educational institutions, both government and private. The new timings, effective immediately, will commence at 7:30 am.

The decision to adjust school timings was prompted by the continuous rise in mercury levels and the scorching heat prevalent in the region. Lower primary educational institutions in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts of Assam will observe the revised timings of 7:30 am to 12:15 pm from June to August.

This step was taken by the KAAC in response to the heatwave affecting the entire state, with specific consideration given to the districts of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong. The administration aims to safeguard students' health and well-being during this period of high temperatures.
