Guwahati: The aircraft, identified as Flight 6E2652, touched down at Guwahati Airport with prominent passengers onboard, including Rameswar Teli, the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, along with two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, Prasanta Phukan and Terash Gowalla.
Confirming the situation, Rameswar Teli informed ANI, "He is currently at Guwahati airport after the flight made an emergency landing following a technical glitch." He further elaborated, "I was traveling on the flight along with BJP MLAs Prasanta Phukan and Terash Gowalla. Today, I had scheduled meetings in Duliajan, Tingkhong, and Tinsukia. The flight was airborne for approximately 15 to 20 minutes before returning to Guwahati and making an emergency landing. Fortunately, all passengers are safe. The authorities informed us that the aircraft will not be able to continue its operations."
The airport authorities also acknowledged the incident, confirming the unscheduled landing of the Dibrugarh-bound Indigo flight, Flight 6E2652, with the presence of Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, and the two BJP MLAs, Prasanta Phukan and Terash Gowalla.
