IHCL Expands Presence in Guwahati with New Vivanta Hotel

IHCL, the largest hospitality company in India, has announced its plans to open a new Vivanta-branded hotel in Guwahati, Assam by 2026. This greenfield project signifies IHCL's commitment to the region and will mark its fourth hotel in Guwahati.

Guwahati, also known as the gateway to the North-East, holds significant importance as a major hub for economic activities and tourism. The city's strategic location and thriving commercial centers make it an ideal destination for business and leisure travelers alike. IHCL is pleased to partner with Asian Medical and Research Pvt. Ltd. for this venture.

The upcoming Vivanta Guwahati hotel will feature 150 well-appointed rooms and will be conveniently situated near important commercial centers and Dispur, the capital of Assam. Guests can look forward to a range of amenities including the signature all-day-diner, Mynt, a vibrant bar, as well as recreational facilities like a swimming pool and fitness center. The hotel will also offer over 4,000 sq ft of banqueting and meeting spaces to cater to various events and gatherings.

Jitendra Nath Das, Managing Director, and Vivek Sikka, Director of Asian Medical and Research Pvt. Ltd., expressed their excitement about partnering with IHCL, India's leading hospitality company, for this project. They believe that the introduction of the stylish and dynamic Vivanta brand to Guwahati will elevate the city's hospitality offerings.

Guwahati, situated on the banks of the Brahmaputra river, holds cultural and historical significance. Apart from being a major tea manufacturing and processing center, the city is renowned for its ancient temples, including the famous Kamakhya Temple.

With the addition of this new hotel, IHCL will strengthen its presence in Assam, bringing the total count to four hotels in the state, including two others currently under development. This expansion highlights IHCL's commitment to providing world-class hospitality experiences in emerging markets and catering to the evolving needs of travelers.
