Guwahati: In a proactive move to address the needs and concerns of the education sector, the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa, engaged in an interactive session with the principals and teachers of 19 newly established Tea Garden Model Schools. During the meeting, he conducted a comprehensive review of critical issues such as Mid-Day Meals (MDM), free textbooks, uniforms, water supply, electricity bills, and other essential requirements.
The interaction took place as part of the Hon'ble CM's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education and infrastructure in schools across the state. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by schools located in tea garden areas, Dr. Himanta Biswa took a keen interest in understanding the specific needs of these institutions and formulating appropriate solutions.
To further support the schools and ensure their smooth functioning, the Hon'ble CM handed over cheques of ₹1 lakh to each school as a contingency fund.
